Keeping Tires Out of Landfills
Tires by their nature are problematic for landfill operators because they cannot be efficiently compacted in normal landfill operations. Durable uses as much of the tire as possible. The tread of the tires are used to punch pads for our laminated dock bumpers and laminated wheel chocks. Sidewalls of the tire are used to make links in our Tire-Link mats and to make strips for our flooring. Flooring is made from ground recycled post consumer tires.
